RECOMMENDATIONS:

ALWAYS
thoroughly check all blades for damage and flaws before using.

ALWAYS
thoroughly read the owners manual and manufacturer’s instructions before working with tools.

ALWAYS
use a fence and splitter when using the table saw. Do not make freehand cuts.

ALWAYS
feed the work against the rotation of the blade on table saws.

ALWAYS:
Use coolant on non ferrous metal applications such as Aluminum cutting. Make sure both sides on the teeth are covered by the coolant.

NEVER
Do not use blades with missing or damaged teeth.

NEVER
make adjustments to any saw while the blade is turning

NEVER
remove guards from radial arm saws and miter saws.

NEVER
force the cut or overload the saw.

SELECT THE RIGHT CARBIDE SAW BLADE:

There are some recommendations that the end user should be aware of when selecting the right Carbide Saw Blade. You will have to consider the follow aspects:

  • Tool to be used in the cutting job
  • Material to be cut
  • Type of Finish required

The key to select the right disc is to answer the three questions above. Once we select the right disc, we will go one step further to complete a satisfactory cutting job.

The second step in the selection of the right disc is to know the general rules of what it means the number of teeth for each disc.

TEETH DESIGN:

The teeth design plays a major role when selecting the right Carbide Saw Blade according to the application. There are several types of teeth design. However, the most common ones are:

DIENTES PLANOSFLAT TOP GRIND (FTG)

Flat Top follows the grain in the wood for smooth and accurate ripping

DIENTES ALTERNOS BISELADOSALTERNATING TOP BEVEL (ATB)

Alternate tip grinds from sharp points on the tooth that sever the wood grains for a smooth cut.

Primary application is crosscutting, but considered the best General Purpose grind geometry for woods.

Dientes TrapezoidalesTRIPLE CHIP GRIND (TCG)

The Trapezoidal shaped tooth cuts a groove through the workpiece and is followed by a flat top tooth to clear the kerf.

Primarily used to reduce chip-out when cutting laminate, melamine, plastic and particle board. It is also used for non-ferrous metals such as Aluminum.
